Tasting Notes: Tatler Rates The Best Cheeseburgers In Manila This 2020
Ranked fourth on our list is the picturesque cheeseburger (Php 230) from 8 Cuts. Surprisingly, it is the only burger in this line-up that had a sesame seed covered bun! The seeds added umami to the dish and complemented the incredibly beefy, medium-rare, patty. Meanwhile, covering the patty was gooey American cheddar cheese. We wished that there had been more of it! But, their flavour-packed sauce made up for it, bringing all components together so well.

The Best Chicken in Manila That You Haven't Tried Yet
When you have "burgers" in your storefront, everything that's not a burger on the menu takes a backseat. 8Cuts' Heavyweight Fried Chicken, however, tries to pull you away from the sandwiches and into a new experience of crispy fried glory. The incredible crunch it makes when you slice (okay, bite) into it is deceiving because the batter's actually pretty thin, giving way to the perfectly tasty meat.

At this point, 8 Cuts would always be associated with burgers, but there's never really any harm with trying something new. The fried chicken is an easy favorite, with a batter that's thick enough to matter but thin enough to still assure you that you're eating chicken, and skin that flakes off on your plate and makes you think there's really more of your meal to go around.
